Removing SIM Card from iPhone
The iPhones of recent years have a SIM card located on the right side of the device. If you hold the handset facing the screen, you would find the SIM card tray on your right-hand side. In the case of an iPad, the location of the SIM tray may be tricky as the company has changed the placement based on the model and space inside. The modern iPads have SIM slots on the volume button sides.
How To Remove the SIM Card From your iPhone
After getting your hands on the SIM Ejector Tool and knowing about the location of the SIM tray, you are ready to remove the SIM from your iPhone:
- First of all, turn off your iPhone
Although you can remove the SIM card without turning off the device. Manufacturers advise against it. And it includes the iPhone manufacturer, Apple. The company warns of the possibility that the device or the card can be damaged due to static electricity.
- Locate the SIM tray on your device
- Find the small hole right next to the SIM tray
- Insert a SIM ejector tool or a straightened end of a paper clip into this hole slowly and carefully. Remember, no need to exert pressure at this moment.
- Now, hold the tool/pin firmly and apply gentle pressure on it until the tray slides out. It will come out halfway. See that you insert it straight inside. The SIM card tray will pop out.
- Pull on carefully the SIM tray to remove it completely.
Putting Back the SIM Card Tray
Now, to put the SIM Card tray back into the iPhone, there is no need to use a straightened paper clip or a SIM ejector tool. All you have to do is place the SIM card onto the SIM tray in the correct way. Insert the SIM card tray back into the SIM slot. Gently push it inside the SIM card slot.
