What To Expect From The Movie
While some critics call I love My Dad the cringiest, horrible, and pathetic movie they have ever seen, and the fact that the director made the movie based on his life experiences. Some critics make it the best movie they have seen in the decade. Those who can stomach the unquestionable cringe will certainly love it.
Because everything is perfect about the movie’s plot and characters. More forgiving than you can expect and also funny in kind of a gentle way. Aurora Amidon in Paste magazine described it as “The film pushes itself to extremes like a broad and black comedy would, but isn’t quite enough of one to come across as anything but cruel.”
Some critics see everything in the film perfectly bound in a comedic sense, and praise Morosini’s vision for shaping a story and characters but, do not consider I Love My Dad a must-watch.
Whatever it is, we cannot judge art without even watching it in the first place. Anyway, it is a must-watch in one sense because one must watch the level of cringe there is in the world.
