HBO has officially renewed the White Lotus for a third season. The channel announced it with a tweet on 18th November. Since each season promises a new location, theme, and cast, the audience expects the same from the third season of the series. The creator of the series, Mike White has also dropped a few hints about the upcoming season.
One thing is certain, the show’s creator, director, and writer Mike White will return for Season 3. With the White Lotus being an anthology, the seasons of the series are about new characters in new locations. Season 3 shall follow the same format as new characters will be enjoying their vacation at the international resort White Lotus.
What Will Season 3 Be About?
White explained on a behind-the-scenes show that every season had some main highlight. The first season was about money, and the second season highlighted sex. The third season might revolve around a satirical and funny approach toward death in Easter religion and spirituality.
Season 3 Expected Cast
No announcement for the third season cast of The White Lotus has been made as yet. However, people are guessing, and there are a few clues as to which characters might make a comeback. Tanya’s character, played by Jennifer Coolidge, first appeared in Season 2 and then in Season 2, along with her husband Greg, played by Jon Gries. She was the only character from the first season to return to season 2.
Since Mike White and Coolidge share an amazing work relationship and how much fans loved her, assumptions were that she would return for the third season. However, given her sad demise in the season 2 finale, which is not happening anymore. There is a possibility that Connie Britton’s CEO Nicole would be coming back in the new season.
