Netflix’s Wednesday: Is It Worth Streaming?

The Addams Family has their own live-action sci-fi/horror once more, and the daughter Wednesday is the lead character this time. She is instructed to hang out with some other “outcasts” at Nevermore Academy, where Morticia and Gomez received their education. Of course, she dislikes it at first, but finding the Nevermore Academy monster leads to the extracurricular activity she’s been seeking for. Tim Burton is the series’ executive producer and four-episode director.

But having said that, is Wednesday even worth watching? The short answer is: Yes. Wednesday is absolutely worth watching, but if you’re in need of a prolonged answer, consider these reasons:

  1. It’s almost like Riverdale, but better. If you enjoy the “monster running amok in the forest” cliché.
  2. We say Catherine Deta-Jones is excellent as Morticia. She always floats all around the school’s grounds. We adore her for serving wicked bitch energy constantly.
  3. Simply watch it for the storyline. The storyline is, um, Tyler.
  4. THING is the major draw. More so when donning his small party hat.
  5. The institution is known as Nevermore. That concludes the tweet.
  6. There won’t be any arguments against Jenna Ortega being a queen.
  7. You’ll mistakenly start to ship Wednesday and Tyler together.
  8. Wednesday’s Rave’N Party scene in episode 4 will stun you.
  9. Just so you know, Ortega created that choreography on her OWN.
  10. Wednesday’s clothing is enough to make it worth seeing only for the classic example of female objectification from the male perspective. A true 11/10 “fit.”
  11. Wednesday is somewhat lifeless on the inside, yet that is exactly what makes her so fascinating to observe.
  12. It contains several memorable quotes, such as “Look at my favorite little death trap” (Context: Gomez having a conversation with Wednesday)
  13. It exudes a sense of secrecy and a secret society.
  14. The Addams family doesn’t blink, which is fairly lovable even if it is a touch frightening in a pleasant way.
  15. Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday in the 1990s version of The Addams Family, as the bespectacled redhead Ms. Thornhill (also known as the dorm mum…). That’s some casting, huh?
  16. You’ll be inspired to get a fringe for Christmas.
  17. And perhaps pick up the cello or a large violin.
  18. Each and every character is fantastic. Deadwood has no place at Nevermore Academy.
  19. The reaction to Wednesday’s viewing of Legally Blonde was priceless.
  20. Wednesday’s statement, “I’m not used to people communicating with me,” does not really describe how everyone feels in the post-covid era. She excels in famous rejoinders.
  21. It has already surpassed Stranger Things Season 4 in terms of “Most Streamed English-Language Series In A Week,” making it one of the most-watched shows of 2022.
  22. Joy Sunday, who portrays Bianca Barclay, is gorgeous in every moment.
  23. You’ll be prepared to battle for #Wenclair all the way to the end.
  24. You must do everything in your power to keep Wednesday’s beekeeping friend Eugene safe. Hummingbirds band together.
  25. That embrace; the one where Wednesday and Enid hug. The concluding episode is a masterpiece and it will make you cry.

Final Words

The essence of the deliciously sinister Addams Family character lives on in large part because of Ortega’s portrayal, but Wednesday’s execution ultimately falls short. In conclusion, Wednesday is still weird and spooky but less terrifying, so you should try it.
