Coming on April 6th, 2023, Beef is a comedy + drama series starring Ali Wong and Steven Yeun. The plot revolves around the consequences of a road rage incident that takes place between two strangers. The show is created by Lee Sung Jin. The two main characters are Danny, a contractor, played by Yeun and Amy, played by Wong, is an entrepreneur. The plot of the show highlights their feud while merging it with a Marxist angle.
The cast of Beef also includes names like David Choe, Young Mazino, Ashley Park, Maria Bello, Joseph Lee, Andrew Santino, Patti Yasutake, and Remy Holt. This Netflix comedy-drama has a total of 10 episodes in its first season. And each episode is 30 minutes long.
Firefly Lane Season 2 Part 2
Based on a famous novel penned by the American author Kristin Hannah, the amazing show “Firefly Lane” is what you can call a feel-good drama. The show is about the story of 2 best friends and the experiences and adventures of their personal lives and friendships. Ever since its premiere two years ago on Feb 3, 2021, the show has gotten positive reviews. Season 2 is divided into two parts. The end of the first part of Season 2 was quite a cliffhanger. Titled Hart Shaped Box, the episode depicted Tully and Kate being a year apart and struggling to make ends meet. The episode ended on a tense note and has the audience left in anticipation for the second part of the second season.
Katherine Heigl informed the fans in a tweet regarding the show’s comeback on her Twitter on February 17th. According to Heigl’s tweet, Firefly Lane is all set to return on Netflix on April 27.
Transatlantic
A period drama revolving around the refugee crisis of 1940 (Marseille, France), Transatlantic is based on a novel by Julie Orringer, The Flight Portfolio. Like the novel, it is the fictionalization of the Emergency Rescue Committee. Transatlantic stars the Love and Fear Street actor Gillian Jacobs along with Corey Stoll, Lucas Englander, Deleila Piasko, Cory Michael Smith, and Amit Rahhav. The drama consists of 7 episodes and unravels Varian Fry’s true story who has a journalist who formed the Emergency Rescue Committee after she arrived in France in 1940. The committee plays a key role in helping writers and writers immigrate to the US, escaping from the Nazis.
The show was filmed in English, French, and German in 2022. According to the creator Anna Winger that the essence of Transatlantic is the human ability to live fully, find happiness and maintain a sense of humor in the darkest of times.
